AmaKristina Celebration

Wow! What an exciting start to the season for us here at AmaWaterways. Debuting our “Taste of Bordeaux” itinerary and celebrating the maiden voyages of our newest ships, the AmaStella and AmaViola, have been exhilarating. And we’re keeping the momentum up with many more exciting milestones.

Just last week, I traveled to Serbia to celebrate the completion of the hull of the newest member of our family, the AmaKristina. Surrounded by friends, food, music and fireworks, Rudi and I broke the traditional bottle of champagne against the bow, signifying a blessing for her road (or should I say river!) to completion as the newly-completed hull travels to Holland to be fitted and furnished. The ceremony was made even more special as it also celebrated the fantastic accomplishment of our dear friend and ship designer Koert Kamphuisen and his outstanding 25 ship milestone! It takes dedication and time to bring a ship to life and the christening of our newest vessel at Vahali Shipyards was a wonderful opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to all of the people who work so hard to make AmaWaterways the industry leader.

Like our most recently launched ships, the AmaKristina will feature newly-designed rooming configurations for groups and families including six sets of connecting staterooms to accommodate families up to five and four suites with convertible sofa-beds to accommodate families of up to four, as well as larger spaces for the spa, fitness room and salon on the lower deck, allowing for the additions of more twin balcony staterooms and suites.

The beautiful AmaKristina will make its debut in April 2017 on the Rhine. We hope you’ll join us during her inaugural year!
